Is it safe to devour baked potatoes when they have a hint of inexperienced inside the skins? —L.P., Cleveland, OhioIt’s quality not to. The inexperienced tint comes from high ranges of solanine, which may be toxic while eaten in quantity.
Although it is not likely that sufficient solanine would be consumed to cause harm, it is exceptional to peel or cut off the green component before consuming the potato.
