Ask the Test Kitchen
I love shrimp and usually have frozen cooked shrimp available. However, many recipes list uncooked shrimp as the principle aspect. Can thawed or frozen shrimp be introduced rather if I modify the cooking time? —C.H., Freedom, IndianaGenerally speaking, sure. Not knowing your recipes, I would recommend which you thaw the cooked shrimp, then add it at the give up of the recipe’s cooking time and warmth thru. I don’t endorse frozen shrimp because the alternative substances would possibly end up overcooked before the shrimp is thawed and heated through.
